Complete church website resources — always free.

Terms

Last updated: July 15, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern use of DIYChurchWebsite.com, its accounts and forums, and the free themes, plugins, manuals, articles, images, examples, and other resources made available through the site. By using the site or downloading a resource, you agree to these terms.

Free resources and licenses

The themes and plugins are provided free of charge with the license stated inside each package, generally the GNU General Public License. The applicable package license controls your rights to use, study, modify, and redistribute its software. Documentation, articles, images, trademarks, and website content may have different rights or restrictions unless expressly stated. “Free” describes the download price and does not transfer ownership of branding, trademarks, or content outside the applicable license.

There is no premium tier, paid priority queue, guaranteed customization service, or promise that every requested feature will be built.

No warranty

The site and all resources are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, uninterrupted availability, compatibility, security, search ranking, accessibility compliance, legal compliance, or error-free operation. WordPress, hosting environments, third-party APIs, themes, plugins, browsers, and provider services change over time.

You are responsible for reviewing documentation, maintaining backups, testing on staging, checking compatibility, securing your site, and deciding whether a resource is appropriate for your church and jurisdiction.

Accounts

Forum participation and site comments require a registered account. You must provide an email address you are authorized to use, choose an appropriate username, protect your password, and keep account information reasonably current. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Do not share credentials or impersonate another person, church, company, or organization.

Accounts may be restricted, suspended, or removed for spam, abuse, security threats, evasion of moderation, repeated policy violations, or unlawful conduct.

Self-service community support

Support is primarily provided through manuals, articles, searchable forum discussions, and community participation. Replies may come from volunteers, other users, administrators, or a disclosed AI-assisted support agent. Response time, correctness, compatibility, and resolution are not guaranteed.

Forum guidance is general technical information, not legal, financial, tax, medical, counseling, safeguarding, cybersecurity-incident, or other professional advice. Back up your site and verify instructions in your own hosting environment before making production changes.

AI-assisted content

AI may help classify support requests, prepare qualifying documentation-grounded answers, or summarize product feedback. AI output can be incomplete or mistaken. High-risk and uncertain matters should be reviewed by a qualified person. You must not treat an AI reply as proof that a bug is reproducible, that a security incident is resolved, or that a production change is safe.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Post passwords, API keys, private member data, payment details, authentication tokens, malware, or exploit code.
  • Harass, threaten, defame, discriminate against, or impersonate others.
  • Upload spam, deceptive promotions, unlawful material, or content you do not have the right to share.
  • Attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the site, evade rate limits, scrape accounts, or test vulnerabilities without written permission.
  • Use the forum as an emergency, professional-services, or private-data channel.
  • Misrepresent a community or AI-assisted answer as an official guarantee.

Your submissions

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant the site a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, quote, and moderate that content as reasonably necessary to operate the forum, answer questions, document solutions, and improve the free resources. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate another person’s rights.

Moderators may edit titles or formatting, move topics, remove sensitive information, close discussions, or delete content to protect the community and maintain the support library.

Third-party products and services

Resources may integrate with WordPress, hosting companies, AI providers, Bible APIs, podcast directories, social networks, video hosts, donation providers, storage services, analytics, email systems, and other third parties. Those services are independent and may charge fees, change features, impose limits, or discontinue access. Their terms and policies apply to your use of them.

Availability and changes

Downloads, versions, forum areas, documentation, and site features may be changed, replaced, suspended, or discontinued. Security and compatibility updates may alter behavior. You are responsible for keeping copies of the releases and documentation needed for your site and for maintaining your own backups.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site owner, contributors, moderators, and community participants will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost data, revenue, donations, ministry opportunities, search visibility, or business interruption; or costs arising from installation, use, inability to use, support advice, third-party services, or unauthorized access. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid directly for the affected resource—which is ordinarily zero.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless the site owner and contributors from claims arising from your unlawful use of the site, your submissions, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

General terms

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms do not create employment, partnership, agency, fiduciary, or professional-client relationships. Applicable law governs without overriding consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the services and resources change. Continued use after publication of revised terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. Questions may be submitted through the Contact page.
